What is BioCrystal™?
Crystals Worked Through the Foam
BioCrystal™ is a blend of 16 crystals milled into a fine mixture and worked through the pillow’s foam, not just across the top.
Layla says the technology was engineered in Europe, is licensed only to Layla in the U.S., and has been tested by Slovenia’s BION® Institute.
Will you feel the crystals? No. They’re milled and blended into the foam, so there’s no grit.

Cooling That Works Two Ways
Layla calls it CrystalCore™ dual-action cooling:
- Inside: the crystal-infused foam is designed to draw heat away from your head.
- Outside: the breathable cover wicks heat away from the surface.
Layla says BION® testing against a control foam measured alpha brainwaves, breathing and body temperature, and reports faster relaxation and fewer body-temperature spikes.
Adjustable loft
A Pillow That Meets Your Neck Halfway
Four foam layers, each in its own zippered cover, let you set the height:
- 6″: all four layers in, for full loft.
- About 5″: remove one layer.
- About 4″: remove two layers.
Back sleepers can adjust it to keep the spine neutral, and stomach sleepers will usually prefer a lower loft. Side sleepers: Layla makes a separate BioCrystal™ Side Sleeper Pillow.
